Aroostook Chapter of CUs Awards Scholarship
The Aroostook Chapter of CUs is proud to announce that Emma Bragg of Fort Fairfield High School is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship was offered to a local high school student who attended the Chapter’s Financial Fitness Fair in November—a joint initiative organized by four participating credit unions including Acadia FCU, NorState FCU, The County FCU, and UCU.

Capital Area FCU’s annual Bowl-a-Thon was a striking success, raising $2,545 to support Special Olympics Maine! This year, the credit union expanded the event to include the entire community—and the response was incredible. They filled the bowling alley with energy, enthusiasm, and generosity, all in support of an amazing cause.

NCUA Releases 2024 Fourth Quarter Credit Union System Performance Data
According to the latest financial performance data released by the NCUA, total assets in federally insured credit unions rose by $52 billion over the year ending in the fourth quarter of 2024. Insured shares and deposits grew $58 billion. The delinquency rate at federally insured credit unions was 98 basis points in the fourth quarter of 2024, up 15 basis points from one year earlier.
