Community CU Hires Scott Waldron as New Turner Branch Manager
Community CU has hired Scott Waldron to serve as the new Branch Manager for their Turner location. As Branch Manager, Waldron will oversee operations including member services, staffing, training, and facilities. In this role, he will bring 20 years of experience in financial services and a passion for community service to the credit union.

Full Plates Full Potential Launches Innovation Fund to Combat Childhood Hunger
Full Plates Full Potential, an organization working to end child hunger in Maine, announced the launch of the John T. Woods Innovation Fund, a new grant program to support school districts and community organizations in piloting innovative strategies to increase participation in, and access to, school meals. The Fund is supported through individual donations and corporate partnerships including the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Evergreen CU Renovates Its South Portland Branch
Evergreen CU recently celebrated the completion of significant renovations to its branch on Broadway in South Portland. The five-month project included the addition of a new exterior leading to a larger entryway into a redesigned interior. These additions, plus new technology, were installed to improve their members’ banking experience.
NCUA MDI Mentoring Grant Round Reopens 10/11
Federally insured credit unions with both the minority depository institution and low-income designations are eligible to apply for the National Credit Union Administration’s MDI mentoring grants between October 11 and October 29.
