League and Midcoast FCU Offer Testimony in Support of LD 97


Earlier this week, the League and Midcoast FCU testified in support of LD 97, An Act to Facilitate the Improvement of Credit Scores of Residents of Department of Corrections Facilities. The bill was requested by the Maine Department of Corrections. It is based on work that Midcoast FCU is providing to some residents of Bolduc Correctional Facility, enabling them to use credit builder loans to acquire credit prior to their release.

UCU Scholarship Program Now Open, Celebrating Ten Years of Supporting Maine Students


Celebrating ten years of supporting Maine students’ pursuit of higher education, University CU (UCU) is pleased to announce applications are now open for the 2025 UCU Scholarship Program. Since launching the UCU Scholarship Program in 2016, UCU has awarded $64,000 in scholarships to students pursuing higher education across the University of Maine System and Maine Maritime Academy.
