Our League is pleased to announce Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, will serve as the keynote speaker for our 2019 Legislative Forum taking place on November 13 in Freeport. The Legislative Forum is the League’s signature political event of the year, with iconic speakers, great discussion, and networking.
Forbes’ newest project is the podcast “What’s Ahead,” where he engages the world’s top newsmakers, politicians and pioneers in business and economics. Forbes has authored several books and writes editorials for each issue of Forbes under the heading of “Fact and Comment.” In both 1996 and 2000, Forbes campaigned for the Republican nomination for the Presidency.
“We are thrilled Mr. Forbes is serving as this year’s keynote speaker,” said Robert Caverly, League Vice President of Governmental Affairs. “The event will serve as an excellent opportunity for Forum attendees to hear from Forbes from both a political and business perspective.”
