Robust Agenda Planned for the 2019 Management Roundtable

With summer almost behind us, plans are well underway for this year’s Management Roundtable. The annual event, taking place October 1 and 2 at the Samoset Resort, brings together senior leaders from credit unions across Maine for two days of networking, information sharing, and planning. This year’s program also will focus on the League’s Moving Maine Forward initiative and its three campaign pillars: economy, community, and people.

“Ensuring that our credit union network’s senior leaders have opportunities to prioritize and think strategically is critical to the success of our movement,” said Cheryl Lancaster, Executive Vice President of Member Services for the Maine Credit Union League. “The Management Roundtable facilitates these opportunities by strategically focusing on important policy issues and best practices, which helps our executives plan for the future.”

The event begins on October 1 with lunch at noon, followed by presentations and discussions featuring CPA and business owner Gene Marks and League President Todd Mason. Moving Maine Forward shapes the agenda for October 2 with panels covering workforce development, the economy, and community involvement.  Participants also will have an opportunity to hear from Angela Russell, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at CUNA Mutual Group, before the conference adjourns.

“In addition to having informative speakers and timely topics, the event also provides a forum to network,” said Lancaster. “We deliver a robust agenda, which is why we have such strong credit union participation every year.”
