The Maine Credit Union League and Synergent are pleased to announce they recently were named as one of the 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine. The Best Places to Work list, compiled by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group, identifies, recognizes, and honors employers that positively contribute to Maine’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.
The 2021 list recognizes 100 employers in three size categories—including 15 credit unions. The League and Synergent were honored in the medium-size employer category (50-249 U.S. employees), coming in at the 28th spot on the list. This is the ninth time the League and Synergent have been named to the Best Places to Work in Maine list.
“The League and Synergent are on this list because we have an exceptional group of dedicated
employees that care about our organization, their colleagues, and the credit unions we serve,” said Todd Mason, President/CEO of the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent. “This is truly their award and I hope they are as proud of this distinction as I am.”
All companies honored with a 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine accolade had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: have at least 15 employees working in Maine; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Maine; and be in business a minimum of one year. They also had to enter a two-part evaluation process. The first component, worth 25% of the total evaluation, consisted of assessing each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This section was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
