Valerie Moss is a senior federal regulatory compliance counsel for America’s Credit Unions. In her position, Valerie analyzes complex regulations and translates them into user-friendly summaries, blog posts, and other resources for member credit unions.

Valerie answers numerous federal regulatory compliance questions from member credit unions, covering areas such as BSA and OFAC compliance, ESIGN, fair lending, credit reporting, electronic fund transfers, SCRA, and other pressing issues impacting credit union operations. She is a regular contributor to the compliance blog and serves as an instructor at America’s Credit Union’s schools and conferences.

Before joining Legacy CUNA in 1997, Valerie worked as a regulatory compliance specialist at the Michigan Credit Union League. She has earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from the Washington College of Law at the American University in Washington DC.
