Virtual Workshop Will Train CUs on New Financial Education Curriculum

We are pleased to announce that Maine Credit Unions’ new adult financial education curriculum is now available! Credit union volunteers can easily utilize this turnkey resource at food pantries, rotary clubs, and other community organizations. The curriculum, including both the Educator Guide for facilitators and the Money Book for adult learners, is posted on the League’s website.

The League invites you to join Jake Holmes, Director of Outreach & Strategic Planning, for a free Train the Trainer Adult Education Workshop. This workshop will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, February 26 from 3:00-4:00 pm for any credit unions interested in learning more (pre-registration is required).

Curriculum in Practice

In case you missed it, last week’s edition of Weekly Update included an article highlighting the first use of the new curriculum. Educators of the Wells-Ogunquit school system became the students, benefitting from the full lesson plan.

We can’t wait to see the ways your credit union serves your community with this new curriculum and hope you’ll take advantage of the workshop next month. If you have any questions about this upcoming event, please email Jake Holmes or call 207-773-5671, ext. 266.
