The Campaign for Ending Hunger has officially closed its fundraising books for 2024 and soon the results from last year will be announced! If you are as excited to hear the total as we are to share the news, please register for the Annual Ending Hunger Fundraising Results Luncheon, taking place on February 10 at 11:30 am in Freeport. In addition to announcing the Campaign’s results, top credit union fundraisers will be recognized and awards will be given out for credit union volunteerism.
This year’s special event will feature a keynote from Matthew Martin, Development Coordinator with EndHungerNE (a part of The Outreach Program, a 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events around the country). EndHungerNE and its dedicated team of volunteers work across New England – including here in Maine – to pack healthy meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Martin will offer an overview of his organization’s work and how it has provided over 47.4 million meals since 2011 to feed people in need. He also will share how he mobilizes community members, area nonprofits, and local businesses to engage in the fight to end hunger.
Credit union award letters will be distributed at the conclusion of the event. If your credit union is unable to attend, your award letter will be sent to you via mail. To secure your seat at the luncheon, please visit the League’s website to register by February 5. There is no cost to attend.
