On December 16, Velera announced the winners of its Velera Miracle Momentum Awards to support Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. The MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital (BBCH) was selected as one of 20 hospitals who will be receiving a $10,000 donation. The donation will be made on behalf of Atlantic FCU, Five County CU, New Dimensions FCU, and Town & Country FCU. Each of these credit unions nominated the Portland, Maine-based hospital for the award.
Velera received nearly 500 nominations from over 225 credit unions for nearly 70 hospitals. In addition to BBCH, other winning hospitals include:

- Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt (Tennessee)
- MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital (Washington)
- Phoenix Children’s Hospital (Arizona)
- Salinas Valley Health Medical Center (California)
- Sanford Children’s Hospital – Fargo (North Dakota)

The Miracle Momentum Awards are an extension of the Miracle Match program, a philanthropic program introduced by Co-op Solutions (now Velera) that encouraged credit unions, leagues, and chapters to create and participate in fundraisers for their local CMN hospitals.
