Oxford FCU Invests in Recovery

Oxford FCU has partnered with the Larry Labonte Recovery Center (LLRC) in Rumford to provide operational funding and educational support. The credit union’s commitment to LLRC’s mission includes a significant financial contribution, a dedicated space at the center named the ‘OFCU Recovery Meeting Room,’ and the ability to offer financial education classes there.

Dr. Lonnie Labonte, President and Co-Founder of LLRC shared, “The partnership with Oxford FCU is a great example of the unity displayed throughout our county. Communities like ours are worth fighting for, and this partnership will give our team of talented coaches the resources they need to support recovery in our region. Our mission wouldn’t be possible without great community partners like Oxford FCU.”

The Larry Labonte Recovery Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources and support to individuals facing substance use disorder and mental health challenges. It is a safe and inclusive place for people to access help without fear of judgment.

“By supporting those in recovery, and helping to end the stigma of recovery, we hope to help make the River Valley area healthier, safer, and more vibrant for everyone,” added Joann Bisson, CEO/President at Oxford FCU.
