What’s better than a fundraiser to support Special Olympics Maine? A fundraiser that invites the participation, creativity, and support of an entire community! That’s exactly what Capital Area FCU is doing with its Community Caterpillar fundraiser. Fortunately, there is still time for you to help this effort grow.
Capital Area FCU is building its Community Caterpillar by selling rocks, which can be personally decorated for a minimum donation of $5 and displayed around the credit union’s branch. Rocks can be decorated with a business name, in memory of someone, or just something bright and/or funny. The team at Capital Area FCU hopes their caterpillar will extend around the perimeter of their building while raising at least $150 for Special Olympics Maine.
To encourage the community to participate, the credit union has been regularly posting photos of its growing display. Don’t miss your chance to use your imagination and design a rock that supports our state’s Special Olympics athletes.
