Cumberland County FCU Awards $9,000 in Scholarships to Local High School Students


Cumberland County FCU is proud to announce it recently provided nine $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who are planning to continue their studies in the educational field. This initiative is part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to supporting students in its communities.

Cumberland County FCU was started 70 years ago by seven teachers in Maine. Its success is rooted in the values those teachers instilled—perseverance, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Scholarship recipients include:

  • Kaylee Gonneville (Westbrook Vocational High School)
  • Zach Fecteau (Gray-New Gloucester High School)
  • Kiara Deering (Deering High School)
  • Benjamin Parr (Casco Bay High School)
  • Abbey Laney (Bonny Eagle High School)
  • Matt Searwaym (Windham High School)
  • Anwaar Jaber (Falmouth High School)
  • Emily Ferguson (Yarmouth High School)
