The premiere credit union advocacy event of the year—the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC)—is less than one month away, and a lucky employee from Evergreen CU has been invited to “Crash” the special event. Cole Rowland is one of 58 talented credit union professionals from across the country who has been selected to join the 2024 Crash the GAC delegation. He was chosen because of the pivotal role he plays serving as Evergreen CU’s Creative Specialist and for his dedication to the credit union movement.
“Evergreen has a culture of being involved in the credit union movement, I am excited to continue that proud tradition,” shared Rowland. “I applied to Crash the GAC to learn about how I can be more productive in assisting the political movement to help credit unions.”
This is the fifteenth year the Cooperative Trust from Filene Research Institute has offered this exciting program to credit union young professionals. Over its existence, the Cooperative Trust has connected thousands of emerging leaders and hosted a space for them to deepen their connection to the credit union mission. The program also receives generous support from America’s Credit Unions and its League partners.
“I am proud to represent Evergreen and Maine’s credit unions at the GAC, and I’m excited to bring home new knowledge on how I can help,” added Rowland.
If you weren’t selected as a 2024 Crasher, it’s never to early to begin thinking about your application for next year. For additional information about America’s Credit Union’s upcoming GAC, please visit their website.
