January Hannaford Bag Program Results

The Campaign for Ending Hunger once again received support from Hannaford Supermarkets in January, this time at the 7 Hannaford Drive store in Westbrook. Hannaford has previously chosen the Campaign to benefit from its Fight Hunger Bag Program, raising hundreds of dollars each time the initiative runs. In January, the program raised $322 for the Campaign.  

The League thanks all credit unions who promoted this effort, as always, and extends gratitude to all who participated in the Fight Hunger Bag Program at the Westbrook Hannaford location. Simply promoting the effort to your members and the community can make a big difference for the Program, the Campaign, and most importantly—those struggling with food insecurity in our communities.  

In alerting the League of the January total, Hannaford noted that since the inception of their Fight Hunger Reusable Bag Program, they have supported 6,078 nonprofit organizations and donated $2,751,449 to local communities.
