cPort CU is pleased to announce the promotion of Kelsey Marquis to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), and the promotion of Bill Whitmore to Senior Vice President of Business and Information Technology (IT) Services.
Kelsey Marquis
Marquis has been an invaluable member of the cPort CU team since 2010 when she joined the credit union as a teller after graduating from Bryant University. She went on to earn a master’s degree in business administration and leadership from St. Joseph’s College, and excelled in various roles within cPort CU, including accounting and finance. Her most recent position at the credit union was as the Executive Vice President and CFO.
Her contributions extend well beyond cPort CU. She actively participates in the community, collaborating with organizations like CA$H Maine, The Olympia Snow Leadership Institute—where she volunteers as a Leader Advisor, and the Financial Managers Society—where she serves as a respected board member.
As CFO & COO, Marquis will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of cPort CU. Her expertise and leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the credit union’s continued progress.
Bill Whitmore
Whitmore began his career with cPort CU in 2019 and most recently served as the Vice President of Business Services. He will oversee and drive the growth of cPort CU’s Business and Information Technology departments. With more than 35 years of IT and business leadership experience, Whitmore brings valuable expertise to the organization.
Whitmore graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
In his elevated role, Whitmore will further enhance the credit union’s ability to provide members with the best service and technology.
