Gardiner FCU Holds Annual Check Presentation Event for Ending Hunger

On October 25, Gardiner FCU hosted its annual Ending Hunger check reception. Credit union staff and board members presented local community partners with checks to support their important work to assist people facing food insecurity. Gardiner FCU raised an incredible $20,164.88 for the Campaign for Ending Hunger in 2022—funding they in turn provided to eight organizations at this special event, including:

  • Boys & Girls Club of Kennebec Valley
  • Bread of Life
  • Chrysalis Place
  • Faith Food Pantry
  • Food for Thought Backpack Program
  • Hallowell Food Bank
  • South Gardiner Baptist Church Food Pantry
  • Spectrum Generations Cohen Center

Gardiner FCU holds a number of fundraisers throughout the year to support the Campaign for Ending Hunger. Last year, Gardiner FCU came in first place among all Maine credit unions for the highest per member contributions to the Campaign.
