A new year is officially underway, which means the League is working hard to wrap up two important credit union efforts: 2022 fundraising for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger and credit union volunteer tracking. Deadlines are fast approaching! Have you provided the League your credit union’s information?
Campaign for Ending Hunger
If your credit union or chapter has 2022 funds to turn in to the Campaign, please submit those by Monday, January 9. Checks can be mailed to:
Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger
Attn: Accounting
PO Box 1236
Portland, ME 04104
Take a Chance to End Hunger funds also should be turned in by January 9.
Meeting the fundraising deadline will help us finalize preparations for our annual Ending Hunger Celebration luncheon, which is taking place next month. We are once again hoping every Maine credit union will make a donation.
If your credit union needs additional time to turn in your funds, please email Jen Burke at jburke@mainecul.org, or call her at 207.773.5671, ext. 295.
Credit Union Volunteerism
It is important to record your credit union’s volunteerism. Reporting your volunteer hours helps the League communicate the collective efforts our credit unions make to enhance their communities.
If your credit union has not yet submitted your volunteer hours for 2022 using our online tool, please track your activity by January 10. The CUs Share for ME online form enables credit unions to report their philanthropic efforts, log when they occurred, and note how many staff were involved.
If your credit union needs assistance using CUs Share for ME, please email Jake Holmes at jholmes@mainecul.org, or call him at 207.773.5671, ext. 266.
