CUNA Mutual Group Releases Winter 2022 Report

CUNA Mutual Group has released its Winter 2022 Report for credit unions. This timely report can be shared at chapter and credit union meetings.

In addition, the October Trends Report is available. This monthly report, published and distributed by CUNA Mutual Group’s Director and Chief Economist Steven Rick, provides a review and analysis of recent credit union financial performance and operational results.

The report reviews data from August. Key findings in this edition include the following updates:

  • Credit union liquidity tightened at the fastest pace in 22 years.
  • High inflation pushed credit union loan growth numbers to the highest pace since 1985.
  • Credit union new auto loan balances rose almost 20% during the last year.
