The County FCU is pleased to announce they have recently hired Kerri Watson-Blaisdell as their new Vice President of Marketing.
A County native, Watson-Blaisdell comes to the credit union with over 15 years of experience in communications and marketing. She began her career with the University of Maine and then relocated to the County where she worked for The Aroostook Medical Center, now Northern Light Health, for nearly eight years. She then transitioned to higher education where she spent the next seven years at Northern Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Fort Kent, respectively.
“Kerri has multiple degrees in her field as well as a vast background of experience in marketing with exposure in multiple industries,” said Ryan Ellsworth, President and CEO at The County FCU. “We’re ecstatic to have her join our team and are confident her depth of knowledge and skillsets will move our marketing focus in the direction the credit union needs to achieve growth and remain relevant for our members.”
Watson-Blaisdell earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maine at Machias in 2002. She then earned her master’s degree in Communication from the University of Maine in 2012 and her MBA from Husson University in 2017. She also has a background in graphic design and website management.
“I have spent the last few weeks in training and meeting my new coworkers at our branches from Caribou to Bangor,” said Watson-Blaisdell. “They have been so welcoming and helpful that I already feel at home. I truly appreciate how that reflects The County Federal Credit Union’s sense of community.”
Watson-Blaisdell replaces Mike Bosse who has retired to southern Maine. She lives in the central Aroostook area with her husband, her dog, and her horse.
