Good Shepherd Food Bank relies heavily on the support of volunteers to help them deliver healthy, nutritious meals to those in need. On Tuesday, members of the League’s Corporate Marketing & Communications team spent the day volunteering at the food bank’s Auburn facility. This was the first time since the pandemic began that the League was able to lend their time, talent, and muscle to help package food for delivery.

“It was incredibly rewarding for our team to spend time at Good Shepherd Food Bank’s Auburn Distribution Center,” said Tim Brooks, Vice President of Corporate Marketing & Communications. “We work closely with the food bank all year long, but the pandemic has limited our ability to physically help at their facility. I’m so pleased we were able to give back in this way and look forward to helping again in the future.”

The team spent two and a half hours at the food bank and packaged 4,057 pounds of food. This will provide 3,381 meals to those in need.
