TruChoice FCU has a long history serving southern Maine’s medical community, and when they began offering credit cards, they knew they wanted to do something that would help their community and support local medical services. The TruHero card program was their answer!

By participating in the TruHero credit card program, TruChoice FCU members can have a percentage of the interchange income from card purchases donated to either the Children’s Miracle Network or McAuley Residence. The results from this program speak for themselves:

  • Since 2009, the credit union has donated $24,293 to the McAuley Residence—$5,212 in 2021 alone, and $62,657 to Children’s Miracle Network.
  • The credit union’s 2021 donation of $11,166 to the Children’s Miracle Network was its largest annual donation to date.

“TruChoice FCU members love having the option to help support local organizations,” said Ken Acker, CEO at TruChoice FCU. “What makes this program so successful is that spirit of People Helping People, and it’s amazing to see these donations continue to grow each year.”

TruChoice FCU is pleased that their TruHero credit card program continues to grow. Over the last five years, annual giving has more than doubled.

Keep up the good work, TruHeroes!
