The Atlantic FCU Foundation is proud to announce it has awarded ProsperityME a $10,000 grant to help promote, teach, and enhance financial skills and literacy. The Atlantic FCU Foundation, established in 2021, is focused on helping nonprofit organizations strengthen, support, and promote the common good in communities served by the credit union.
ProsperityME provides critical financial education to refugees, immigrants, and asylees to help them build a better future in Maine and achieve financial security.
“The proposal from ProsperityME captured the vision of what the Foundation was hoping to achieve,” said Chris McGorrill, President of the Atlantic FCU Foundation. “We believe in the value of helping others take charge of their financial situation, gain new skills, and develop a better financial balance in their lives.”
“ProsperityME is thrilled and honored to be the very first recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Atlantic Federal Credit Union Foundation,” said Claude Rwaganje, Executive Director of ProsperityME. “This grant will support our efforts to help recent immigrants acquire the knowledge they need to be financially successful and feel empowered to invest in themselves and their newfound community.”
