Are you a current member of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council? Members have a unique opportunity to nominate their peers for a CUNA Recognition Award. With eight special categories to consider, you can help acknowledge someone at your credit union who deserves the spotlight.

The nomination period is now open! The deadline to nominate a colleague is December 22, with supporting entry materials due January 21, 2022. Please visit the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council website for full details about the entry and selection process.

Recognition Award Categories

  • Community Outreach Professional of the Year Award: This award honors one individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union community outreach. It recognizes individuals who, in all aspects of their chosen profession, consistently excel for the benefit of their credit union and the advancement of the cooperative movement.
  • Marketing Professional of the Year: This award honors one individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union marketing. It recognizes individuals who, in all aspects of their chosen profession, consistently excel for the benefit of their credit union and the advancement of the cooperative movement.
  • Business Development Professional of the Year: This award honors one individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union business development. It recognizes individuals who, in all aspects of their chosen profession, consistently excel for the benefit of their credit union, and the advancement of the cooperative movement.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: This award recognizes marketing and business development professionals who have excelled at this difficult discipline throughout their professional careers.
  • Rising Star Award: This award recognizes and honors an emerging marketing or business development professional in the credit union industry. The recipient of this prestigious award will be someone whose work demonstrates ongoing and exceptional growth. Their contribution to the future of the credit union industry is evident during the time they’ve been a part of the movement.
  • Excellence in Marketing & Business Development Award: This award identifies, recognizes, and honors credit unions that exemplify excellence in marketing and business development. It showcases innovative approaches to serving members, acknowledging their universal application to credit unions nationwide and sharing the solutions with our peers.
  • Top Community Contributor Award: This award recognizes the value and expertise shared with peers through collaboration within the Councils Community networking platform. The value generated by asking and answering questions and sharing documents and ideas is one of our greatest member-driven benefits. The winner is identified based on quality and quantity of contributions.
  • Volunteer of the Year Award: As a member-led organization, CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council relies on volunteers, and this award recognizes those contributions. The Volunteer of the Year is nominated and chosen by peers on the Council based on involvement and contributions over the past year.
