Atlantic FCU Announces Foundation


Atlantic FCU has announced the creation of the Atlantic Foundation. The mission of the new Atlantic Foundation is to help strengthen, support, and promote the common good in communities served by the credit union.

“Through focused and strategic giving, the Atlantic Foundation will support nonprofit organizations throughout Southern Maine, including Androscoggin, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, and York Counties,” said Scott Chretien, President/CEO at Atlantic FCU. “The Foundation Board is a talented group. The combined expertise, leadership abilities, and various experience from each individual will be integral to connecting Atlantic more deeply to the communities we serve.”

The five-member Foundation Board consists of:

  • President, Chris McGorrill, Atlantic Federal Credit Union Chief Marketing Officer
  • Secretary, Renee Oyster, Atlantic Federal Credit Union Chief Strategy Officer
  • Treasurer, Howard Dupee, retired nonprofit housing program director
  • Director, Donna Hodgdon, retired educator
  • Director, Tara Williams, Executive Director, Maine Association for the Education of Young Children

The Atlantic Foundation has announced a $10,000 grant to support and promote financial literacy. 501(c)(3) organizations are encouraged to review details about the grant and how to apply online.
