Statewide Awareness: Real Member Stories Campaign Launches

Our best recommendations come from people we know and trust. With this philosophy in mind, the Maine Credit Union Statewide Awareness campaign will begin to focus on real Maine credit union members telling their own stories. Our goal is to illustrate the relationships built between our credit unions and their members and how credit unions have helped improve their members’ lives.

The media channels for this campaign will include television commercials, radio spots, increased digital and social media exposure, and print advertising, as well as a newly created “Real Stories” webpage which will highlight member stories submitted to the League by credit union staff.

We also are encouraging consumers to share their own stories by visiting the “Tell Us Your Story” page on the Maine Credit Unions website and by using the social media hashtag #mymainecustory.

Our first “Real Member Story” focuses on Aaron and Matt Nadeau, two brothers who own Mike’s & Sons Sales & Service in Fort Kent Maine. Their father, Mike, started this equipment supply company over 30 years ago in Presque Isle. With the help of their credit union, Aaron and Matt were able to purchase the business, continually update inventory, and remain a successful small business in northern Maine.

The League is always looking for more Real Member Stories to highlight and include in our campaign. If you know of a member that has a compelling story to tell, please contact Mike Rosmus, League Creative Marketing Manager, at mrosmus@mainecul.org.
