Five County Credit Union President Joins League Board of Directors

The League is pleased to announce that Julie Marquis, President & CEO of Five County Credit Union, has joined its Board of Directors. Marquis represents the Jeannette G. Morin Chapter of Credit Unions.

“I am thrilled to have Julie join our Board,” said Todd Mason, President/CEO of the Maine Credit Union League. “She exemplifies the credit union People Helping People philosophy through her dedicated service to her members, community, and our state’s robust credit union network. Julie is a great advocate for the credit union movement and will be a wonderful addition to the Board.”

Julie has spent her entire credit union career at Five County Credit Union and has been serving as President & CEO for nearly four years. She will celebrate her 26-year anniversary with the credit union in April.

“A few years ago, I was asked if I would ever consider a seat on the League Board of Directors,” said Marquis. “I said I would consider it if the opportunity arose, but I’m a firm believer that you have to work on your own house before helping others with theirs.  It’s been four years, and I’m ready and honored to represent the credit unions of the Jeannette G. Morin Chapter on the Board.  I believe the League and Synergent are great organizations that help Maine and other credit unions provide their members with the financial services they need.  I’m excited to be part of this growing movement.”

Congratulations, Julie!
