Plans are underway for this year’s Hike the Hill trip to Washington, DC, taking place October 15–17. The annual program is designed to build upon our credit union network’s already strong relationships with Maine’s congressional delegation.
The event will kickoff with a legislative briefing and reception at Credit Union House on October 15, from 5:00–6:30 PM. CUNA’s legislative team will provide an overview of issues impacting credit unions at the federal level. CUNA also will provide a briefing about threats credit unions are facing in other parts of the country. Following the reception, the League will host a dinner for Maine attendees at The Oceanaire Seafood Room.
On October 16, Maine credit union representatives will head to Capitol Hill to meet with Senator Susan Collins, Senator Angus King, Representative Chellie Pingree, and Representative Jared Golden. A group dinner at City Tap House is scheduled for later that evening.
