NorState Federal Credit Union (FCU) is celebrating its 78th year serving people in Aroostook and northern Penobscot counties.

During NorState FCU’s annual membership meeting on May 23, members had a chance to review year-end financials and learn about the perks of membership through the credit union’s newly released LuvMyCU Perks Program, which launched on April 1.

NorState FCU’s newly designed relationship program takes into consideration the longevity of membership along with the total amount of business on their account and the use of products and services available to credit union members. LuvMyCU Perks has four tiers from bronze to platinum and are designed to reward those who are actively doing their financial business with the credit union and provide better rates on savings and loans based on their years of financial relationship with their credit union.

CEO Susan G. Whitehead addressed more than 180 members and 70 employees and spoke about the fiscal well-being of the credit union and the new loyalty program. Members also enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by staff at Madawaska High School and lucky door prize recipients walked away with over $1,200 of giveaways, plus new loyalty coffee mugs colored bronze, silver, gold, or platinum based on their status level.
