Emergency legislation to delay the implementation of LD 968, a law which impacts the opening of multi-party accounts at financial institutions, has been assigned a bill number. L.D. 292, An Act to Amend the Laws Governing Multiple-Party Accounts with Financial Institutions, sponsored by Heather Sanborn, will be considered by the Committee on Health Coverage, Insurance and Financial Services. A work session and public hearing is scheduled for February 5 at 1 PM.
The League’s Governmental Affairs team will keep members apprised as this bill moves through the legislative process.
