The Opening Session of your League’s upcoming Annual Meeting & Convention just got some additional “star power.” CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle recently confirmed his attendance at the Convention, and will address attendees prior to the start of the Opening Session. “With so much happening in Washington right now of importance to CUs, having Jim attend and share his insight and perspective on legislation and regulation will be a valuable addition to our attendees,” remarked Todd Mason, President of the Maine CU League.
From the ongoing litigation of NCUA’s Field of Membership rule and significant regulatory relief legislation moving closer to passage in the House to ADA website compliance and threats to the CU tax status, Nussle is expected to provide brief updates on a variety of topics. “Jim is so well-connected and informed so we’re excited to hear what he has to say. CUNA is a great partner of the League and Maine CUs, and the opportunity to hear about both threats and opportunities in his first-hand update will reinforce those advocacy efforts to our credit unions, and the value of the CUNA-League-CU partnership.”
The Opening Session of the Maine Credit Union League’s Annual Meeting & Convention happens on Friday morning, May 18, at 9 a.m., in the Ballroom at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, in Portland. The Convention takes place May 18-19.
