CUs Are Invited to Cyber-Security Best Practices with Senator Angus King

Maine credit unions have been invited to participate in a free cyber-security seminar Tuesday, August 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Texas Instruments, located at 52 Jetport Plaza Road in South Portland. Senator Angus King is hosting the event and has specifically noted that he would love to have strong credit union representation at the event.

The Senator is hosting the event in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security. DHS Assistant Secretary Jose Perales-Hernandez and DHS Northeast Cyber-Security Advisor Michael Leking will give a thorough presentation on how to strengthen cyber-resilience in the face of potential cyber-attacks. The seminar will provide a unique opportunity to learn from national experts about cyber-attacks and protecting your credit union.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required at by clicking here

Senator King would like to have input from credit unions and his office has graciously offered to collect questions from your League in advance of the seminar. If you have a question that you would like to have answered at the seminar, please forward them Elise Baldacci no later than close of business on August 14.
