New Radio Commercials Touting Shared Branching Debut Statewide

Two new radio commercials debuted this past week, and will be airing on radio stations statewide throughout the remainder of the month, and into mid-September.  Your League's Statewide Awareness Campaign developed the new spots to highlight the shared branch network and reinforce the convenience of Maine's credit unions.

"The commercials provide a fresh focus on what shared branching is, number of locations in Maine and nationwide, and the ease and convenience of conducting shared branch transactions.  Maine credit unions provide more access and convenience than any single bank in Maine, and the shared branch network is the third largest branch network nationwide, so these are important facts for consumers to know," said Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for your League.  Trautman added that the music for the commericals is modeled after the music utilized in the statewide TV spots for continuity, maximum awareness and recall.

The timing of the Campaign coincides with another busy travel month for many consumers, as well as parents bringing their kids to college, both in state and elsewhere, and provides an opportunity to showcase how convenient and accessible belonging to a credit union is for members.

The radio campaign features nearly 5,000 :60 commercials (two :30 spots will be put together to make 60s), as well as nearly $75,000 value-added sponsorships and awareness including online streaming, web banner links and ads, billboards attached to news and weather segments, and other on-air promotions and visibilty opportunities.
