The month-long 'Take A Chance' Raffle for choice seats to see Taylor Swift at her sold-out concert on Saturday, July 25, at Gillette Stadium, and round trip transportation to and from the show was a big success with nearly $2,500 raised for the Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger.
On Monday, July 13, the big winner was drawn and it was Kiersten Hepler of Stetson, Maine. She bought her ticket at EMMC FCU's hospital branch. When informed of the news, Hepler was "thrilled, and credited a sign the CU posted outside the credit union for getting her attention and having her buy a ticket." Not a member of EMMC FCU, Hepler does work at the hospital and is proof that the 'Take A Chance' Raffle is open to everyone.
The best news of all, though, is that not only did the Raffle raise significant funds for Ending Hunger but half of the proceeds from tickets sold by individual credit unions goes towards their 2015 fundraising total. It's a win-win for all involved.
Stay tuned as the next and final 2015 'Take A Chance' Raffle will be one you won't want to 'pass' on. Starting in August, tickets to win choice seats to see the Patriots vs. the Jets on Sunday, October 25, at Gillette Stadium, bus transportation to and from the game, and a pre and post-game barbecue, will be sold. Again, it costs nothing to participate.
