Credit unions make the majority of their profits through lending dollars, which means it's important for all staff members to be knowledgeable about the basics of lending. The course, The Lender- Basic Lending, will be held at on Tuesday, June 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Credit Union Service Center in Westbrook.
This course aims educate the beginner or those who want a refresher on the aspects of lending. You will cover the characteristics and terminology of credit and overview the legal requirements of lending.
Additionally, you will learn the elements of credit scores, credit analysis, and loan applications. Sales and service for loan officers will also be covered and techniques on how to enhance those lending skills.
