Nancy Lewis, who served on the Board of Knox County FCU (now Five County CU) for nearly 30 years, including 10 as Chairman, passed away recently, of breast cancer at the age of 80.
In addition to serving 28 years as a credit union volunteer, Lewis was an active member of the community serving on a variety of other boards including the Rockland District Nurses Association, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice, and the Knox County Nurses Guild.
"Nancy was a familiar face at credit union functions and events over the years, and was supportive of helping the members in any way she could. She was a strong contributor to not only her credit union but to the Maine CU System. We extend our condolences to her family and friends," said John Murphy, President of the Maine Credit Union League.
