It's high school tournament time once again, and Maine's credit unions are part of every shot, fast break and steal from Augusta, Bangor and Portland, being televised by the Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN). As part of the Statewide Awareness Campaign, Maine's credit unions are one of the major sponsors of high school tournament action broadcast statewide on MPBN for the next few weeks.
"There is tremendous interest and excitement from people of all ages in the high school basketball tournament but many people can't get to the games so they watch it on television. Having a presence as one of a selected group of sponsors in every game that is televised gives Maine's credit unions great visibility, as well as reinforces our commitment to the community, as high school basketball is a big part of many communities throughout our state," remarked John Murphy, President of your League.
From February 18 through February 28, MPBN will broadcast nearly 50 boys and girls tournament games including the state A, B, C and D finals on February 27 and 28.
