From participating in the National Youth Savings Challenge and participating in a record number of Financial Fitness - Money Management Experience fairs in a month to hosting special activities designed to promote savings and contests to encourage youth to join, a number of Maine credit unions were active participants in CU Youth Month in April. "Maine CUs are leaders when it comes to youth financial education and money management, so it is natural for Maine CUs to be involved and engaged in Youth Month. It was nice to also see the work and leadership of Maine CUs in youth financial education to receive special recognition as part of a Legislative Proclamation proclaiming April as Fostering Financial Education in Maine month," remarked Jon Paradise, Vice President of Governmental and Public Affairs for the Maine Credit Union League.

Oxford FCU
