The Maine Credit Union League is urging Mainers to participate in the Credit Union for Kids ‘Vote for Miracles’ campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. This is an opportunity for Maine CUs and members to help one or both of the state’s two CMN hospitals share in $100,000 in prize money, compliments of CO-OP Financial Services and CU Direct. Through December 19, the general public is invited to cast votes in support of their favorite Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. At the conclusion of the promotion, the top five hospitals in the country will receive a share of a $100,000 donation on behalf of America’s credit unions.
In Maine, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center in Portland; and Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Todd Mason, President of the Maine CU League, encouraged everyone to engage in this campaign. “I know there are already a number of credit unions in Maine who support CMN through various efforts, and this is one more way we are doing so by sharing this national contest. If one or both Maine hospitals received some of these funds, it would be great for Maine and the families that are served by these great hospitals.”
Anyone can vote daily for their local CMN Hospital at VoteforMiracles.org. The hospital with the most votes will win $50,000. Second through fifth place will receive $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $ 5,000, respectively.
Vote now through December 19th.
