The York County Chapter of Credit Unions is currently seeking volunteers to serve in officer positions. This is an opportunity to get involved with your peers, support your local chapter, and contribute to the continued strength of Maine’s credit union network.
The chapter brings together credit unions across the region to support training, networking, and community-focused initiatives. Active participation at the chapter level helps maintain strong collaboration across the industry.
Available Roles:
The chapter is looking to fill the following officer positions:
- President – Leads the chapter, sets agendas, and facilitates meetings
- Vice President – Supports the President and assists with events and initiatives
- Secretary – Maintains records and manages communications
- Treasurer – Oversees finances and provides updates
Why Get Involved:
Serving as a chapter officer provides the opportunity to:
- Build leadership and organizational skills
- Connect with professionals across the credit union system
- Support and shape the community programs your chapter delivers each year, such as Financial Fitness Fairs in local high schools
- Have a voice in how your local credit union community grows and collaborates
Time Commitment:
The role is designed to be manageable:
- At least three meetings or events per year, which typically last approximately one hour
- Occasional planning through email or calls with other officers
