The Maine Credit Union League’s Emerging Leaders Network is inviting credit union professionals from across the state to connect, learn, and be inspired during a virtual panel discussion featuring former GAC Crashers on Wednesday, May 27 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
The session will spotlight the impact of the “Crash the GAC” program—a premier professional development opportunity that gives emerging credit union leaders the chance to attend the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C., with registration expenses covered. Through the program, participants gain firsthand experience in advocacy, leadership development, networking, and industry engagement, including opportunities to connect with national credit union leaders and participate in Capitol Hill advocacy efforts during the conference’s annual “Hill Hike.”
During the panel discussion, former Crashers will share personal stories about how the experience helped shape their careers, expand their professional networks, strengthen their leadership abilities, and deepen their passion for the credit union movement.
“This event is a great opportunity for emerging professionals to hear directly from peers who have taken advantage of one of the credit union movement’s most impactful leadership experiences,” said Jake Holmes, League Director of Outreach & Strategic Planning. “Whether someone is considering applying to be a Crasher in the future or simply looking to grow professionally and build connections within the industry, this event will provide valuable insight.”
The virtual event is free to attend and open to anyone interested in professional development, advocacy, networking, or learning more about the Emerging Leaders Network.
