Thanksgiving is almost here. While some may be longing for their flip flops and beach bags, I am personally embracing sweater weather, my Bean Boots, and of course—the merriment that comes with the bustling holiday season.
Next week, as you gather with your friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you will take a moment to acknowledge the important contributions our movement—and the unique role you played in it this past year—has made to improve the lives of our members, communities, and state. I am grateful for your efforts, and I know Maine’s credit union members are, too.
Collectively, we worked together to fulfill the financial dreams of thousands—offering loans, products, and counsel to individuals and families across Maine. We also remained steadfast in our commitment to feed those in need and improve the financial proficiency of Mainers regardless of their age or where they live. These achievements are significant on their own merit, but the fact that we did our work cooperatively and in the spirit of People Helping People makes it even more meaningful.
Maine’s credit union ecosystem is special, and I feel privileged to advocate alongside my team at the League on your behalf. It seems fitting to share this sentiment with you as we approach Thanksgiving, but please know I am thankful for your trust and the opportunity to highlight the credit union difference every single day!
I hope your holiday is full of joy, laughter, and gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours.
