As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, I want to take a moment to wish you, your staff, and your members a safe and joyful celebration. The holiday marks a time of reflection, appreciation, and community—values that are deeply woven into the credit union movement. It also signals that we’ve officially reached the halfway point of the year.
So far, 2025 has been a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience that come from working together. Whether you’ve attended a League training or joined us at Elevate, participated in a committee, shared important fraud or scam trends with your peers, or engaged in our advocacy efforts at the State House or in Washington, your continued commitment to collaboration makes our industry stronger. Your involvement doesn’t just support your credit union—it helps protect and uplift the entire Maine credit union system. For that, I offer my sincere thanks.
With so many of us already thinking ahead to the busy fall season, I hope you will find time this summer to recharge and not let these next two months pass you by. We all know that summer is a short—but beautiful—season in Maine, and it’s important to pause and enjoy the moments that make this state so special. Whether it’s spending time with family, exploring the coast, or simply soaking up the sunshine, taking time to rest and reconnect will help us return to our work with renewed energy and focus. That energy will be essential as we tackle our shared goals ahead—together.
Looking forward, I’m excited about the opportunities we’ll have to continue learning, connecting, and advocating together. Our educational calendar is packed with offerings to help you grow and lead, including the always-popular Management Roundtable, Volunteers’ Conference, and our annual Legislative Forum. Registration for our Management Roundtable is already open, and we will be sharing information soon on how you can secure your spot at our other special events happening on October 24-25 and November 6, respectively.
While 2026 may still feel far off, I know many of you are already thinking strategically about the year ahead. Please know that the League is here to help. Whether you’re shaping your training calendar, exploring operational enhancements, or seeking support for member-facing initiatives, our team stands ready to support your goals and help you plan for continued success.
Thank you for the work you do every day to serve your members and communities. I’m grateful for our partnership and excited for what lies ahead.
Have a happy Fourth!
