Volunteers Needed to Help Meet Surging Demand

As the holidays approach, many of our neighbors are facing increased hardship and a rising need for food assistance. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back this season, Good Shepherd Food Bank asks you to consider volunteering at a food pantry in your community. Just a few hours of your time can help stock shelves, distribute food, support neighbors, and bring comfort during a difficult time of year.

The Food Bank has heard from many of its food pantry partners that they are in need of volunteer support and are ready to welcome helping hands right away. If you’re able, please consider signing up with one of these pantries.

How You Can Help:

  • Offer a warm welcome to community members visiting the pantry
  • Assist with sorting donations, packing boxes, or restocking shelves
  • Lend a hand with picking up donations from local retailers or delivering groceries to families in need.
