Registration for 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference now open

Join the March on Washington this Feburary!  Registration to join the Maine CU League and CUs from across Maine at the 2018 Credit Union National Association's (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference, February 25-March 1, 2018, is now open.  This is the largest advocacy conference in the country and between 4,000 and 5,000 credit union representatives are expected to attend the 2018 Conference.  The League is hoping that Maine will once again be well-represented.

While keynote speakers, a list of political leaders who will address the Conference and breakout sessions have yet to be announced, attendees can expect another outstanding event to be held at the Washington Convention Center.  The highlight for Maine CUs is meeting with all four members of Maine's Congressional Delegation at a soon-to-be-announced event, most likely a breakfast or luncheon on Capitol Hill.

"I would strongly encourage CU leaders, volunteers and staff to consider being a part of this Conference.  This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the CU Movement.  Additionally, having our Congressional Delegation see a strong contingent from Maine all gathered sends a powerful message on the level of grassroots involvement and advocacy from Maine's credit unions," stated Tucker Cole, President/CEO of Maine State CU and Chair of the League's Political Involvement Committee.

A block of rooms at a discounted rate have been reserved at The Renaissance, which is right across the street from the Convention Center. Click here to download a room(s) reservation form.
