PeoplesChoice CU is celebrating Tim Villemaire, Assistant Vice President of Accounting, for his recent designation as a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE). This comes after his graduation from Credit Union Management School hosted by America’s Credit Unions (ACU) and led by professors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.

“As one of two people in Maine who graduated from this year’s program, it was an honor to represent PeoplesChoice CU,” Villemaire shared.

This three-year program is the longest-running, high-level educational initiative in the credit union movement according to ACU, designed for credit union professionals aiming for leadership roles, with the goal of equipping graduates to lead with confidence and impact.

“When finishing the program, I was one of the class officers and a mentor to some of the first and second-year students,” added Villemaire. “The passion for the credit union movement that my classmates and instructors have is truly remarkable and I appreciate all the support I have received during this time from my family, friends, and colleagues.”

ACU states that through rigorous course work, hands-on projects, and mentorship, participants develop skills in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership.

“The Certified Credit Union Executive designation is a major accomplishment and Tim’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence is commendable,” said Dan Dallaire, Chief Operating Officer at PeoplesChoice CU. “I look forward to seeing the continued impact of his leadership here at PeoplesChoice.”
