Ryan Poulin, CEO at New Dimensions FCU, and his team humbly accepted the 2020 Large Business Award during the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s 58th Annual Awards Ceremony on November 4.

Because New Dimensions FCU’s mission, “Educate. Empower. Evolve.” applies to both the community and its staff, the credit union works hard to ensure that the growth of its membership and employee retention are equally balanced. In 2020, their efforts to maintain this balance are why they were selected to receive this prestigious business award.

During the pandemic, New Dimensions FCU focused on retaining all employees and training some of their staff to assist members in a new capacity, which included processing numerous Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loans. The credit union also worked with local contractors and vendors to construct a new state-of-the-art main office located at 94 Silver Street in Waterville. The building was designed to be as green as possible. In addition, the credit union renovated their Grove Street location, turning it into a thriving operations center, which expanded their workforce. All of this was done while maintaining a deep commitment to financial education and community service, supporting programs like Special Olympics Maine, Maine Children’s Cancer Program, and the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

The League applauds New Dimensions FCU for earning this notable recognition!
