Marketing Council to Host Virtual Workshop in September

The Maine Credit Union Marketing Council will be hosting a virtual lunch and learn session on Wednesday, September 21, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm featuring Marnie Grumbach, Founder of fluent imc. The session will highlight how credit unions can integrate traditional public relations approaches with their marketing campaigns.

Register to participate by visiting the League’s website. Participants will receive the Zoom meeting details prior to the event. There is no cost to attend, however, your credit union must be a current member of the Marketing Council to participate.

About the Session – PR 101: What Is PR and How Does It Integrate with Marketing?

Public relations (PR) can be viewed as the somewhat misunderstood cousin to marketing.

Marnie Grumbach will explain what PR is and how it differs from marketing and advertising. She’ll help you identify the different approaches to PR (from crisis communications to thought leadership) and share practical ideas for earning and leveraging third-party credibility that can help your credit union stand out.

Marnie will use case studies from her agency’s own work supporting banking, finance, and other clients to earn media coverage, raise brand awareness, and strategically plan for how PR and marketing can work together to boost brand visibility.
