Bill Pelkey
Maine Savings FCU is proud to announce the promotion of Bill Pelkey to Senior Vice President of Facilities, recognizing his deep commitment, leadership, and expertise that have strengthened the organization since he joined in 2019.
Pelkey began his tenure at Maine Savings as Facilities Manager, bringing with him decades of experience in construction and operations. His career began in the mid-1970s working alongside his father, operating heavy equipment and building structures that would help shape communities across Maine. After serving five years in the United States Army in Military Intelligence and three years in the Naval Reserve, Pelkey returned home and dedicated his talents to his family’s construction business, where he managed a range of large-scale projects including hotels, residential homes, and financial institutions.
In 1997, he transitioned into financial facilities management with one of Maine’s largest banks before ultimately finding his way to Maine Savings FCU, where his strategic insight and dedication to excellence have had a lasting impact on both the member and employee experience.

Born and raised in central Maine, Pelkey remains deeply connected to the community. He is a proud husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an avid outdoorsman and certified American Tree Farmer, stewarding a 125-year-old Eastern White Pine forest. His community contributions include serving on the board of the Hampden Neighborhood Food Cupboard and previously as a member of the American Legion.
In his new role, Pelkey will continue to lead all facilities operations, focusing on sustainable infrastructure; innovation; and ensuring that Maine Savings FCU branches continue to reflect the welcoming, trustworthy, and forward-thinking values that members have come to expect.
