CUNA announced the 2020 recipients of its national Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award, the Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Award, and the Desjardins Awards for Financial Education. In the Desjardins Awards’ League Category, the Maine Credit Union League was named a first-place finisher.
“We are very happy and honored to receive a Desjardins Award for our commitment to both youth and adult financial education,” said Jake Holmes, League Financial Literacy Outreach Coordinator. “We dedicate a significant amount of time to providing Mainers with the financial training they deserve. In a year unlike any other, the League and Maine credit unions’ financial literacy outreach efforts remained strong. This award honors our collective success.”
Community CU received honorable mention recognition in two categories in its asset size ($50 – $250 million): Desjardins Youth Financial Education and Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service.
